Uncertainty

Something has happened in the world that I for one, did not see coming and to put it bluntly, is bloody scary.

I’m not one for worrying, most of the time I’m relatively carefree, manage to see the light at the end of the tunnel and am known for being a bit of a joker, but Covid-19 has got me running scared. Not scared for myself, but scared for the high-risk people around the world and also the ones in my life.

I’m also angry. Really angry at the selfish people grabbing more than what they need off the shelves, leaving nothing for those who really need it. Angry that there’s nothing for those elderly people who looked forward to popping to the shops to get what they need and mostly just want to have chat & get out the house, who will now most like be self-isolating to keep themselves safe.

There’s a huge opportunity here to be kind, be caring and make a difference even if it’s just to one person. If you’re able, you can volunteer to collect food or prescriptions for neighbours, walk their dog or even just FaceTime them if you’ve got their number.

And remember, you’re not alone. We can use social media to keep connected, when you’re having a work meeting get that camera on and it gives you motivation to put good your face on!

Keep well. A x
