Autumn has well and truly arrived!

End of Daylight Saving Time
On 25th March, we lost an hour and on Sunday we are gaining an extra hour, which means an whole other hour on a Sunday. I’ve planned a lie-in, a run, getting Sunday lunch ready by 1pm, reading my book and many other things – an hour should just about cover all of that, right?
Oddly, I don’t mind the clocks going back and the dark nights, but I will miss getting home when the sun is setting and seeing this spectacular view from the back of our house.

Running
During the summer I loved going swimming, especially when it was so hot out, it was amazing to dive in and do some lengths – also, my hair dried so quickly in the heat!
Now the temperature has dropped, putting my swimming costume on and walking from the baths back to work in the chilly weather is not at all appealing. However, I’ve missed doing exercise and a girl in my team has signed up to do the London Marathon, so I suggested a (slow-moving) running club.
I’m not a runner by any means, I’m not fast (I got over-taken by an elderly spaniel on Monday – not my proudest moment), I’m not elegant (think Phoebe out of Friends) but I do enjoy it.
It’s a sport where I really feel like I can notice an improvement and now I’ve got a running buddy, hopefully I’ll be more motivated to keep it up. Either that or the new pair of trainers I’m going to buy tomorrow, as these ones below have holes in them and I managed to spill some concrete on them…

Hunter
My parents have got a new addition to the family. Meet the gorgeous and mischievous, Mr Hunter.

He is so ridiculously cute, it’s unbelievable. And not only that, he is pure entertainment – he has these crazy 10 minutes where he races around the house and even funnier than that, climbs up and down the Handsome One’s legs with his tiny razor-like claws. We’ll definitely be going back soon to see Hunter visit the family.
Autumn Sunset and Sunrises
I know this post is very autumn-based, but it’s my favourite season! The sunset and sunrise over the past couple of weeks has been incredible. In the mornings I’ve been walking Bella in the dark and on our way back home it has been incredible to see the sun rising from behind the village.

And last weekend, I woke up to find myself in bed alone but I could hear the Handsome One talking to someone, so I dragged myself out of bed to find him with another woman…

But then look at how amazing the sunset has been!

I hope you enjoy your autumnal weekend and don’t forget to wrap up; it’s going to be chilly!
