My Style

Summer Dresses Wishlist

I just love wearing dresses. Yes me, and just because I spend most of my time in the garden or (trying to help with) renovating it doesn’t mean I don’t love a swing dress.

There’s something about wearing a dress that makes me feel feminine and with the abundance of sun that we’ve had recently, I’m wanting to update my wardrobe. In my defence there are about 10 bags in the loft full of clothes that I’ve not yet sorted through – this is the real struggle of home renovation; not being able to find ANYTHING.

Being a tall ‘un at 5’11, shopping isn’t always the easiest task. Dresses can be too short, maxi dresses swing under your knees (not ideal) and unless it’s a tall range, long sleeves are absolutely out of the question. There are tall ranges now available at ASOS, Topshop, GAP to name a few, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t get ‘regular’ off the shelf clothes, but I send back a lot more than what I keep.

Below are a few favourites from both tall and regular ranges that I’ve got my eye on for the coming months.

yellow.JPGStunning colour, suitable for a day at the office and would be great to wear at the weekend.

Striped Midi DressCome on, who doesn’t love a stripe? This dress is perfect to throw on for a BBQ and ideal for hiding that extra sausage you’ve snaffled!

Perfect dress to wear if you fancy popping out for a cocktail and look at those colours!

stripe.JPGThe ultimate dress to throw on after a day of swimming and relaxing at the beach.

cute.JPGCute, flirty and sweet; what’s not to like?

red.JPGA staple for any wardrobe, mine included 🙂

stripes.JPGI love this style; nips in at the waist, skims over the tummy and doesn’t show too much leg. Perfect.

So there it is, a few of my favourite dresses and I really hope I’ve not jinxed the weather; stay sunny England!
