TV
What is going on at the moment? There is so much brilliant TV to watch! Namely, The Bodyguard, I mean come on, it’s the best BBC drama after Versailles, which I absolutely loved. Then The Great British Bake Off has started along with, drum-roll please… Strictly Come Dancing! Who else has googled ‘Dance Lessons’ since the series started? Come on, it can’t just have been me!

Overnight Reset Serum

I was lucky enough to be sent the L’Occitane Overnight Reset Serum to try and see what the effects are. Well firstly, I’m impressed but I’ve always been impressed by L’Occitane’s serums; yes they’re expensive, but I think your skin is worth it.
I am in my early thirties and have oily skin, so was always a little apprehensive about using serums as I didn’t want to use anything to make my skin more oily but after using serum for few years now I know that not to be true. However, if it’s important to work out what’s best for your skin type.
The Overnight Reset Serum is silky, smells gorgeous and glided onto my skin without feeling heavy or leaving a residue, given that L’Occitane recommend you using three pumps of the serum.
On the first morning after using the serum I wasn’t expecting to notice a difference and it was actually two days after using it that I woke up, looked in the mirror and thought, dang, my skin looks good.
Will definitely be buying this in the future.
Barbour Gilet
As the weather has been changing, I’ve needed something to wear on the dog walk, but not my wax jacket, it’s way too warm for that, so I’ve been stealing the Handsome One’s gilet (pronounced gil-ett to wind the HO up!).
Seeing as I couldn’t keep using the stolen gilet, I decided to look for my own. After scouring the interweb, I couldn’t quite find what I was looking for, so I turned to good, old, addictive eBay. I found some really nice gilets from Joules and one from Barbour – I missed a couple of really nice ones and then one evening, I got a 15 minute warning on the Barbour one and won it for less than £20! It’s in great condition, barely worn and the perfect length for my longer than average torso.

Think Bella likes it as well!
Autumn Wardrobe
Not only is autumn my favourite season, it’s my favourite season for clothing. Whilst it’s nice to wear dresses and skirts baring your skin, it’s even nicer to be cosy in oversized jumpers and cardigans. Even on my way to work these colours just made me smile.

Mustard is a firm favourite at the moment and I’m trying to convince the Handsome One that mustard chairs will go well in our kitchen. We’ll see how that goes…
Figs
T’is the season for figs and I am HAPPY. Figs can easily appear in every course; starter, main and dessert. I am itching for the weekend to get here so I can get in our kitchen and whip up a storm. I’m thinking homemade pizza with prosciutto, figs, gorgonzola and rocket, fig & honey tart (based on this recipe) and maybe a fig, mozzarella and bacon toastie. Let’s just say I’m not calorie counting this weekend 🙂
