I have to admit it was a real struggle getting out of bed this morning – when that wretched alarm went off I did not want to move, but I’m pretty sure that some of you also felt the same? Please just yes.
However, I decided that I would force myself to be happy and it seems to be working so far! It was a glorious morning so once we were outside the door walking the little princess, it started getting better. It got a bit hairy at one point where Bella thought she could catch up to a hare! I admire her tenacity, even though it was very short-lived.
One of the great things about my job, apart from it being located in the ‘Capital of the Cotswolds’ is the commute – I start from the top of the Cotswolds (Chipping Campden) and drive through Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water, and it really is a great drive. There is not really a day that goes by that I don’t see a beautiful kestrel fluttering next to the road with it’s incredible eyes focused on a mouse or a vole, a soaring buzzard scouring for prey, a red kite hunting for his next meal or a deer darting across the road.
