Welcome to my blog!
I wanted to document my journey about buying our first home, adopting our rescue girl from the Dogs Trust, tackling the renovations on our new house as well as the garden that not only contains an abundance of grass and nettles, as well as some concrete!

I’m so excited for these things to happen but we are just waiting on the solicitors, which as anyone knows who has bought a house, can be a little slow… Therefore at this moment in time, I’m looking around our gorgeous rented cottage, thinking about how ruthless I need to be when we move as I have a tendency to keep hold of things (basically I’m a hoarder).

I’m also ITCHING to start buying things for our new home, but the handsome one has (quite rightly) advised me not to buy anything until we are in there. Begrudgingly, I know he’s right. Our house is going to have to undergo quite a lot of building work before we will even be able to live in there, therefore we are going to do everything from scratch, which is incredibly exciting but also very daunting!

We currently live in a gorgeous village with the best pub and the loveliest community-run shop – when we leave it’s going to have incredibly conflicting emotions. I love Bret so much, but I cannot wait to live in a new village, meet new people and have the most incredible views out of our back garden.

Our house is currently empty, so when we had our offer accepted we went over to the house and watched the horses galloping around, bucking and I had tears in my eyes because this is going to be the view from the back of our house. Even more amazing, is that we’ll be living on Green Belt land so there is no chance of any houses popping up and blocking our view.

It’s going to be a hell of a journey and I’ll be glad to have you along for the ride!
